UK cleaning bodies collaborate on industry research

Two professional bodies from the UK cleaning industry are currently working together on a pioneering project - The Future of Cleaning initiative.

A 90-year-old grandmother is still working as a cleaner at a UK hospital - and says she has no plans to retire.
Margaret Price from Rochford in Essex has been a cleaner at Southend Hospital since 1991. Before that she was employed at nearby Rochford Hospital.

An Australian-based cleaner has been awarded compensation after he refused to clean aircraft during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Qantas relieved Theo Seremetidis of his duties in February 2020 after the operative directed others to stop cleaning and servicing planes under the Work Health and Safety Act.

Amsterdam Innovation Award 2024 - final nominations revealed

The finalists for this year's Amsterdam Innovation Award - a highlight of the Interclean Amsterdam exhibition this May - have been announced today.
The 12 nominees were selected by an independent jury from 96 entries across four categories. The winner of each category will be announced during the opening ceremony of the show on Tuesday, May 14.
