Luke Evans says he got fed up with his cat Salem using a smelly litter tray in his second floor flat. So he trained nine-month-old Salem to go to the toilet in his bathroom by offering cheese-flavoured treats as a reward.

More that 8,000 cleaning workers have taken life skill courses under the auspices of the French cleaning federation. These courses cover the ability to read, write, make elementary calculations and to get around in space and time. These courses
