Remploy and Mitie sign partnership agreement to boost disabled recruitment

Leading UK outsourcing and facilities management company Mitie has signed an agreement with Remploy - provider of disability employment services - that could almost treble the number of disabled and disadvantaged candidates recruited over the next three years.

Obituary - Peter Holt

As we announced on the ECJ site almost two weeks ago, Peter Holt - a well-loved and familiar figure across the cleaning industry - died suddenly while at the ISSA/Interclean exhibition in Amsterdam.
Holt had retired from his role as managing director of UK-based cleaning machine producer Truvox International in 2008, having joined in 1991.

Residents of an English town are being "terrorised" by their public toilet, it has emerged.
The automatic toilet in Woking town centre is said to have erratic cleaning patterns that can cause the cubicle door to open unexpectedly while the toilet is in use. And sometimes the cleaning cycle begins with the user still inside.
