Mitie to buy Interserve FM business in €300 million deal
25th of June 2020In the UK, facilities services contractor Mitie is to buy Interserve Support Services - which went into administration last year - in a deal worth €300 million (£271 million). Up to 600 jobs are expected to be lost as a result of the merger.

Cleanology staff wear uniforms made from 7,000 plastic bottles
18th of June 2020UK cleaning company Cleanology is saving 7,000 plastic bottles a year from landfill by kitting out staff in uniforms made from recycled plastic.
The uniforms have been rolled out following a full trial in 2019. Manufactured from a blend of plastic bottles and organic cotton, they are 100 per cent sustainable, ‘fair wear' garments.
