ISSA Hygieia network seeks to mentor young professionals

Faecal bacteria discovered in ice at three major coffee house chains
11th of July 2017Ice from three of the UK's largest coffee chains has been found to contain faecal bacteria.
Samples of iced drinks from Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Caffe Nero contained varying levels of bacteria according to an investigation carried out by the BBC's Watchdog programme.

Hot water is no better than cold for killing germs by hand washing, says study
5th of July 2017Hot water is no more effective than cold at getting rid of bacteria, a new study on hand washing suggests. Scientists discovered washing in cool water removes just as many germs as hot water.

US researchers from the University of Chicago in Illinois took swabs from more than 250 patients when they arrived at hospital for treatment. Swabs were also taken from the patients' immediate environment and from the nurses and doctors with
