In the UK, the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC) has installed Kevin Meighan as its new master. He succeeds Darren Marston.

Meighan, who is sales director of NIC Services Group said on his installation: "I feel honoured to be the new master of the Environmental Cleaners. The cleaning industry deserves far greater recognition, and the Livery is committed to its continued elevation and standing. We have an exciting year ahead with new initiatives and events that will serve both our members and the wider industry. The momentum must continue to serve that outcome."

A significant focus for Meighan will be the WCEC Higher Education Bursary Programme, which will offer financial support to young people whose parents or guardians work in the cleaning industry.
