Unemployment soars in Europe
10th of May 2013Latest unemployment rates released by Eurostat show the eurozone has now reached the 12 per cent mark. This compares to 10.9 per cent a year ago, and recent figures of 7.7 per cent in the USA and 4.2 per cent in Japan.
For the EU 27 the rate is 10.9 per cent, slightly higher than the 10.2 per cent of February 2012.

Mitie renames cleaning business Environmental +
3rd of May 2013MITIE, one of the UK’s largest building services companies, has changed the name of its cleaning and environmental business to Environmental +.
The Environmental + business provides cleaning, pest control, landscaping, waste recycling and winter gritting. It has over 32,000 employees.
