Italy-based producer of cleaning and hygiene chemicals Sutter Group has agreed to buy fellow chemicals manufacturer Nitida Cleaning & Health in Spain.

Through this agreement, Sutter says it is acquiring brands, know-how, production facility, warehouse and customer portfolio, as well as the entire range of products available in the Spanish market. This gives it significant penetration across much of the country and effectively doubles its revenue in the Iberian market. This makes Spain the second largest professional market for Sutter Group.

The deal marks the first time Sutter Group has ventured outside of its home market - following two significant acquisitions made there involving the General and Neutromed brands - both from Henkel. The business has doubled its revenues over the last three years, recording a turnover of €120 million in 2024.
