Vectair joins United Nations Global Compact
13th of July 2026Vectair - specialist in aircare, washroom hygiene and odour control solutions - has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), reinforcing its commitment to responsible business practices and sustainable growth.
The UNGC is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, bringing together organisations that align their operations and strategies with universal principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
According to Vectair, participation reflects its ongoing efforts to embed responsible practices across its global operations while providing a recognised framework for continuous improvement.
The company says the move comes as customers and business partners increasingly expect greater transparency and accountability from manufacturers in the commercial hygiene and facilities management sectors. Membership of the UNGC is intended to demonstrate Vectair's commitment to meeting those expectations while supporting long-term progress across the business.
Vectair adds that responsible business practices extend beyond product development and influence the company's wider approach to growth, with participation in the initiative strengthening its focus on creating lasting value for customers, partners and the communities in which it operates.
Chris Wakefield, managing director, said: "Just having great products is not enough anymore. We continue to keep environmental and social responsibility at the heart of what we do at Vectair."
He added: "We are proud of our participation in the UN Global Compact and our commitment to the core principles and standards regarding people and the planet. It's not just about what we do, it's about how we do it."
Vectair says joining the UNGC marks another step in its sustainability journey as it continues to expand its international operations and distribution network. The company believes the initiative will help strengthen its commitment to responsible business practices while supporting the long-term development of the commercial hygiene industry.
