US small business cleaners gain access to free workshop sessions

The Small Business Assistance Corporation in the US is kicking off the New Year by hosting a series of workshops designed to support the nation's cleaning Industry.

The free, seven-week programme aims to equip cleaning professionals with a number of key skills deemed essential for creating a successful business.

"Owners of cleaning businesses often start with incredible technical skills but lack access to the business infrastructure needed to grow sustainably," says the Small Business Assistance Corporation's director of loan servicing and technical assistance Kassidy Jones.

"This series closes that gap. It's about providing entrepreneurs with training in the field and key practical tools while also giving them a clearer pathway to long-term success."

The workshop sessions will be held in Savannah, Georgia but may be attended virtually by cleaners throughout the nation. The series is claimed to bring together experienced business owners, financial experts, HR leaders and marketing strategists who will provide the content. Each session will deal with a different building block needed to run a reliable, profitable cleaning business.

The sessions, which begin on January 13, will include bookkeeping basics, how to price up cleaning services and how to build a reliable team. Basic marketing strategies and ways of obtaining a loan will also be covered in later modules.

The Small Business Assistance Corporation has previously supported entrepreneurs by holding workshops on various topics including construction, cosmetology, childcare and logistics.
