Fragrance Forum looks at AI

London was the venue for the recent Fragrance Forum hosted by the International Fragrance Association UK (IFRA-UK).

This year, the programme explored how new artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and machine learning are changing the face of the fragrance industry, with some of the biggest names in the fragrance, computing and biotechnology industries and academia presenting the latest research and developments that fragrance and AI has on their sectors.

Lisa Hipgrave, director of IFRA-UK, commented: "We live in a fast-paced world and great strides are being made in new technologies that will affect us in all walks of life. The fragrance industry is no exception to this, which is why we've chosen to focus on the relationship between scent and artificial intelligence as this year's Fragrance Forum theme."

Next year's Fragrance Forum will take place at the Royal Institution, London on October 15.
