ISS opens Europe's largest purpose-built flood and fire training house20th of November 2013
Facilities services group ISS has opened Europe's largest purpose-built flood and fire restoration training facility in the UK.
The three-room bungalow has been constructed inside ISS Restoration's national training centre in Mansfield. It will be used to provide training on flood and fire restoration techniques for the company's personnel and customers' employees.
Each of the three rooms has been designed for a specific purpose - one is for flooding floors, walls and cavities; another has been designed for dealing with odours and the third has been built to show smoke damage across contents and buildings.
ISS Restoration managing director Phil Else commented at the launch: "We believe this is the most sophisticated building restoration training facility in Europe and we are sure that it will bring major benefits to our customers and to ISS Restoration alike."
