Bagless has become the new norm as vacuum cleaner manufacturers everywhere do their utmost to simplify and streamline their machines.

But Gtech has gone against the flow and has reintroduced the bag in its latest model, the Gtech Pro.

"We did some research and found there was a solid group of customers out there who just weren't interested in a product that didn't have a bag," said head of commercial at Gtech Gosia Szczygiel.

"They like the fact that you simply need to insert a new, clean bag every time and are then ready to go."

According to Szczygiel this renewed interest in machines-with-a-bag emerged before the start of the panic. But she adds that COVID-19 regenerated people's interest in cleaning - particularly in the domestic market.

"People weren't able to spend their money on going out and on taking short breaks, so they invested in cleaning products instead," she said.

The Gtech Pro is reportedly particularly versatile since it can be used on floors, surfaces, cars, carpets, upholstery curtains and even chandeliers.

Also highlighted on the Gtech stand is the AirRam, another cordless model with an 80-minute running time and a weight of just 3.2kg.
