Compression benefits

20th of May 2011

New air compression technology is being used by Kimberly-Clark Professional  (KCP) to fit up to 18 per cent more paper hand towels into each case. Air is removed from finished paper towel products to enable more to be placed into a sleeve or onto a roll. In turn, this means more sleeves or rolls can be put in a case – resulting in reduced distribution and storage requirements, less waste and fewer dispenser refills.

This technology is being applied across a range of 11 Kleenex and Scott branded towels. Compression will enable between seven and 18 per cent more towels to be packed into a case, KCP says.
