Hygiene Handles from Pure Hold are mounted onto standard pull-doors in place of normal handles, release sanitising gel onto the hand of users as they open the door.
The company says independent testing and field trials have shown the handles to be 98.5 per cent cleaner than a standard door handle and users are likely to achieve 87 per cent cleaner hands in using the system.
It also claims the installation of Hygiene Handles helps to emphasise to users the importance of good hand hygiene at all times.
