Grosvenor Services manages energy
17th of March 2016Facilities services provider Grosvenor Services has achieved the energy management standard ISO 50001. This outlines energy management practices that help organisations reduce energy consumption, cut costs and meet environmental rules.
The company says it’s using the standard as a framework to support clients’ environmental goals. Staff on client sites are rewarded for ideas that reduce their carbon footprint, and ‘building champions’ have been appointed in each Grosvenor Services office to encourage green thinking.
A number of measures have been implemented recently which are audited electronically, to manage contracts more sustainably. These include moving to a new range of EU Ecolabel accredited cleaning products, and introducing low CO2 and fuel efficient cars to the fleet.
