Vileda claims to have developed the ultimate answer to hygienic cleaning in hard-to-access places.

The company says its new MultiDuster is also a good solution for cleaning high-up fixtures and fittings, particularly in the healthcare sector.

"Tools that can be bent into shape in order to clean hard-to-access areas tend to have a wire-based construction," said business development director Joerg Dunkel, "This wire can be difficult to clean and can harbour bacteria. And when it has been bent several times, it will not readily regain its original shape.

"The MultiDuster is made from a number of plastic sections that interlock together and allow the tool to be bent into hundreds of different positions. The fact that the plastic is easy to clean and will not harbour bacteria makes the tool a fantastic choice for hygiene-critical environments such as healthcare."

He says the MultiDuster is particularly suitable for cleaning behind radiators, around pipes and between glass partitions and can be used at heights of up to five metres. It comes in Maxi and Mini sizes and fits into telescopic handles.

Also new on the Vileda stand are two products designed to facilitate the cleaning of tiled safety floors.

"The structure of safety tiles means that you need some form of mechanical action to remove the dirt," said Dunkel. "Our MicroSafety Pad for floor machines combines micrifibre with scrubbing elements to improve cleaning performance, while our MicroSafety Handpad allows operators to complete the job manually."
