Vernon Holmes is new SYR vice-chairman

Cleaning tools specialist Scot Young Research (SYR) in the UK has appointed Vernon Holmes, formerly managing director of Contico/Spraychem and a well-known figure throughout the industry, as its vice-chairman.
Holmes said on the appointment: "After 38 years with Contico it was time for me to move on and look for a fresh challenge where I would be able to fully utilise my knowledge and experience. This appointment fulfils my objectives perfectly and to be joining SYR at such an exciting period in the company’s history is an added bonus."
Chairman and founder of SYR Scot Young added: "Vernon's depth of knowledge in the cleaning industry sector we operate in is second to none and he brings a level of integrity, professionalism and management skills to our business which will galvanise our efforts in securing the precipitous growth path we have already embarked upon."
