Vectair sends its stand visitors to a virtual urinal

Visitors to the Vectair stand are being given headsets and controllers and invited to step into a virtual world filled with lavatories.

The company's fully-immersive virtual reality experience encourages visitors to navigate around hotels, stairs, halls, washrooms and urinals where they can view and "touch" Vectair products.

"We are trying out our virtual reality tool at the show for the first time and it has been really successful," said the company's USA marketing manager Matt Wonnacott, "It even has a game element in which you can "throw" virtual Wee-screens into a urinal. And there's a leaderboard where people who do well can register their scores.

"The game provides a fun side to the technology, but the virtual reality tool also has a practical side since it can be used for training our sales teams."

Vectair's new Wee-screens - which feature in the virtual reality game - are claimed to offer a strong fragrance performance plus splashback protection for up to 30 days. Also new on the stand are P Screens which combine two fragrances plus an enzyme to prevent blockages in pipes.

And the new Ecoshell is a passive air freshener that requires no batteries and can be clipped on to surfaces, under desks or in air vents.

But the virtual reality urinal game was the major draw on the Vectair stand. And who is topping the leaderboard? Why, none other than Matt Wonnacott himself.
