Triventek buys fellow Danish business Aquila

Dry ice equipment producer Triventek has purchased Aquila, which specialises in trailer mounted hot and cold high pressure cleaners, for an undisclosed sum. Both businesses are based in Denmark.

Triventek, which is part of the Hotchkiss Group, is a market leader in dry ice solutions, particularly in the automotive sector. Over 90 per cent of its business is in export to countries including Australia, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea, Japan, USA and Canada.

Ken Ege Jensen, managing director at Triventek commented: “This move is good for both of us. We have complementary product ranges which will enable us to offer our customers a wider choice of solutions for their needs. With 31 years' experience in development and production, Aquila’s expertise will be invaluable for our future.”

Aquila’s newest development is a high pressure cleaner with a recycling system that filters and reuses more than 95 per cent of the water and chemicals that would normally be wasted in the cleaning process. The cleaner is built into a PTO powered van and is driven by the vehicle’s own hydraulic system, resulting in significant fuel savings. This new equipment is already capable of using biodiesel fuel.

The two businesses will move to a new location but no job losses are expected.
