Tissue World, the world's largest exhibition covering soft hygienic paper products, takes place in Barcelona from March 18-21.

Taking place alongside the trade show is a management and technical conference covering topics including marketing, sustainability and operations. The theme is Evolution or Revolution: The Next Steps in Sustainable Tissue Making, and among the speakers will be Luigi Lazzareschi, ceo of the Italy-based Sofidel Group.

The Tissue World 'open house' live broadcast provides the opportunity for visitors in Barcelona to ‘virtually' visit a production plant or demonstration line and see exhibitors' machines and equipment being used.

The broadband remote connection will allow the visual inspection and demonstration of machines and a two-way dialogue with operators and technicians.

The live broadcast will be conducted in a special viewing room on the Tissue World show floor, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual communications technology.

Exhibiting companies are also offered the opportunity to take advantage of the free Speakers' Corner platform that allows them to speak directly to an audience of trade show visitors.

Suitable subjects include the introduction of technological innovations, the launch of new machinery and equipment, explanations about company services and discussion of market topics such as environmental issues, branding and supply chain management.
