Thomann-Hanry cleans up the Bank of England
17th of June 2015Exterior building cleaning and restoration specialist Thomann-Hanry has been undertaking a very special project at the Bank of England's Threadneedle Street headquarters in London, which are having their first clean-up in more than 20 years.
The company's previous restorations include the Ritz in London, Moscow’s Kremlin, the Louvre in Paris and New York’s MetLife skyscraper.
The firm uses a technique called façade gommage - which cleans by projecting very fine powders with low pressure compressed air. The process does not use any chemicals, detergent or water and doesn’t damage buildings as sandblasting can.
