'See-through' toilets at Glastonbury 2015

The world-famous Glastonbury Festival is currently taking place in the UK and runs until this Sunday. Going to the toilet at this mammoth campsite can be tricky at the best of times, but this year there's a new challenge to tackle - see-through toilets.

The ‘loo with a view' - which is being brought to the annual music festival by WaterAid - will allow users to do what they need to do while looking out over the Pyramid Stage via a two-way mirror.

But the good news for those worried about maintaining their privacy is that no-one will be able to see you pee, since the mirror won't actually allow anybody to look in to the toilet itself.

In fact, the charity is installing the toilet for a good cause - to give festivalgoers an idea of what life is like for the 2.5 billion people in the world who don't have access to a safe, private toilet.

"This installation will allow a brief glimpse into the lives of those who have nowhere safe to go to the toilet and often suffer the indignity of being stared at, harassed or even attacked," said WaterAid's Chris Wainwright.

The charity will have a visible presence this year, offering free water refills at its kiosks as well as having a hygiene campaigner on site.
