Dear Michelle (Editor),

Tne answer to Dr IIham Kadri's hypothetical question in her recent blog: 'What's so exciting about the cleaning industry?' is: nothing.

There are of course excitements to certain activities within it: the launch of a new product, be it machine or cleaning product, or obtaining a large important contract but in overall terms these are small beer.

In short the cleaning industry does not do 'exciting'. It does the job, day in, day out without any panoply or hype and appears to be no worse off as a result.
