London venue for Cleaning Show is right move say organisers

11th of November 2013

The organisers of The Cleaning Show, one of the exhibitions for the UK cleaning sector - set to take place in London from March 10-12 2015 - say the industry is extremely positive about its move from the NEC in Birmingham.

The event is jointly organised by the British Cleaning Council (BCC) and Quartz Business Media and all profits fund projects initiated by BCC member associations.

Doug Cooke, BCC chairman commented: "London is recognised as one of the world’s most important financial, cultural and business centres, and is therefore a fitting host for the next Cleaning Show – elevating the profile of our industry at a critical time. Birmingham has served the Cleaning Show well, but visitors have been very vocal for a number of years, calling for the move to London."

As soon as The Cleaning Show organisers had announced the London move, Martin Scott - previously sales director of the show - announced the launch of Cleaning Expo, a rival exhibition taking place from March 24-26 2015 at the NEC. Currently, then, there are two UK cleaning exhibitions taking place in March 2015.
