If further proof were needed that London property prices have gone too far, how about the 'studio' flat in the north of the city that may well have the most unusually-placed toilet in the UK capital.

Billed as a "newly refurbished single studio", it transpires the room is actually in a shared house.

But the room contains everything a single person might need in its cramped confines. It has its own bed, a fridge, washing machine and sink all lined up neatly alongside each other.

But the room's most unusual feature is its toilet, which appears to be hidden away in an elevated, oversized kitchen cupboard.

After taking a step up to get inside, tenants will find there's even a full length mirror next to the loo. Renters are advised that, although they have their own toilet, they'll still have to share the shower with someone else.
