Liverpool men play video games in the gents' toilets
5th of April 2016Two Liverpool nightclubs have introduced pee-to-play video games in their gents' toilets. Male customers at Level and Fusion can try their luck on ‘hands-free' video games including skiing, penalty shootouts, racing, cricket and quizzes.
Sensors on the urinal detect the position of the man's stream, and are linked up to a digital screen at eye level.
Gamers can even compare scores online, while adverts are featured on the screens when games are not being played.
Captive Media, the British company behind the initiative, has around 200 screens at bars, restaurants, shopping centres and corporate offices worldwide.
The games are changed regularly and include On the Piste, Bar Rugby, Pee-nalty Shootout, xTream Racer and Opeenion Poll.
The screens feature occasional news and sports updates as well as adverts, which can be changed according to the time of day and are targeted at young men.
