Less than one week to go!

ISSA/INTERCLEAN, the most important event in the exhibition calendar for the professional cleaning sector, starts next Tuesday, May 6.

ISSA/INTERCLEAN is acknowledged as being the most important event for the European professional cleaning industry, and it takes place from May 6-11 (Tuesday to Friday) at the Amsterdam RAI centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. There, cleaning professionals can discover the latest product innovations and network with colleagues from all over the world, under one roof. And this year the organisers are promising the biggest show yet, as it celebrates its 25th edition.

Innovation award

One of the biggest highlights of the exhibition is always the presentation of the Amsterdam Innovation Award, and this year's winner will be announced during a special ceremony on the opening day. Chairman of the judges is Michelle Marshall, editor of ECJ.

There are three categories. In Machines, Accessories and Components the finalists are Wetrok, Teinnova and Tennant. Sofidel, Tennant and Kärcher are the final nominees in the category Equipment/Tools for Cleaning, Care and Safety; while the finalists for Management, Training Solutions and Related Products are Hako, Kärcher, ECMR and Alpheios.

Visit the ECJ website at www.europeancleaningjournal.com for details of the finalists, and on the day of the awards ceremony to read about the winners there first.

The keynote speaker at the ceremony will be Peter van Herrewege, founder and chairman of Prime Life - a large group of care homes in the UK. Read ECJ's exclusive interview with him.

"We are working on special ways to mark this great occasion and we promise you a festive 25th birthday event," said Rob den Hertog, Amsterdam RAI's manager for ISSA/INTERCLEAN. The 2014 show will have over 150 new exhibitors and there will be dedicated Washroom, High Pressure and Steam Cleaning areas.

New is the Outdoor Demo Show, which will be a platform for outdoor cleaning demonstrations. Also new is the Steam Cleaning area. This means steam cleaning equipment manufacturers will be positioned together, in order to enable visitors to better plan their visit.

"The steam cleaning sector has rapidly developed in recent years, and shifted from mainly consumer appliances to better and broader solutions for the professional market, witnessed also by the expanding number of steam cleaning manufacturers exhibiting at ISSA/INTERCLEAN," explained den Hertog.

Seminar programme

As usual, the seminar programme put together by ISSA will be an important element of the show. All sessions will be held in English.

A registration fee will be charged to attend all the seminars. Click here for more information.
