ISSA/INTERCLEAN opens its doors to Europe’s cleaning industry8th of May 2012
The biggest ISSA/INTERCLEAN ever opened its doors to the world's professional cleaning industry this morning. Taking place until Friday (May 11) this is the year's most important event for the sector - allowing professionals to discover the latest product innovations and network with colleagues from all over the world.
This year there are more than 680 exhibitors, 180 of them here for the first time.
The exhibition areas dedicated to Washroom and High Pressure have been expanded following their successful introduction in 2010. High Pressure has its own area in hall 5, together with an outside demonstration area. Washroom, meanwhile, has grown to 8,000 square metres and now occupies halls 10 to 11.
New this year is the Miniskills competition, in which cleaning teams from various countries take part. Teams from Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands and UK will compete in a number of set cleaning tasks. They will be expected to strip and remove polish from linoleum; perform crystallisation; cleanroom cleaning; and clean a hospital room using steam. A daily demonstration is taking place at the Miniskills iZone in hall 6.
Also brand new for this year's show is Demo on the Job, whereby exhibitors have been invited to make their latest product launches available to the RAI's contract cleaning company - GCA. Its cleaners will use the equipment selected throughout the event to clean all halls, the washrooms and outside demonstration areas.
And Diversey's Risk Management Summit will take place at the Forum Room of Amsterdam RAI on Thursday, May 10, focused on food safety, labour safety and infection control. Top executives from leading companies such as Coca Cola, McDonalds, ISS, Metro, Compass, Accor and Autogrill will share practical ideas to enhance their corporate risk profile, and to protect employees' and consumers' lives.
Attendance at this summit is by invitation only: visit www.risksummit.com for more information.
