The ISSA Hygieia Network, the international group dedicated to the advancement and retention of women at all levels of the global cleaning industry, will host two events as part of the ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America exhibition and ISSA Convention from October 25-28 in Chicago.

Networking Secrets of Successful Women, presented by best-selling author Diane Darling, will be held on October 25. Sponsored by Georgia Pacific, this complimentary special education and networking session is open to all trade show attendees.

Then, the 2016 ISSA Hygieia Network Awards Ceremony will be held on the evening of October 26 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel. These awards were founded to recognise individuals and companies that have made an outstanding contribution to the global cleaning industry.

The main award is the Hygieia Member of the Year award, which recognises an ISSA Hygieia Network member's involvement in activities that fulfill one or more of the network's goals and objectives.

Other awards include the Rising Star of the Year Award, which is eligible to women aged 35 and under, and the Employer of the Year Award, which recognises the company that best promotes women's interests.

The Man of the Year Award is presented to the senior-level male professional who is dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the cleaning industry through mentoring.

And the Eidyia Award is open to companies or individuals leading efforts to reduce illiteracy rates within the industry's workforce.
