Worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA, which has its headquarters in the USA, has announced a number of developments.

In South Africa it has formed a joint ownership agreement with the CleantexPulire exhibition organiser e-squared publications to collaboratively administer and promote future events.

The partners say this new relationship will add a more robust regional and international seminar and workshop programme, networking opportunities and new product and business solutions for the market.

John Barrett, ISSA executive director commented: "We see this as the first of many investments we hope to make in the African cleaning industry as part of our mission to raise professionalism, increase business success and change the way the world views cleaning."

And in Australia, where ISSA recently held a cleaning exhibition, there is to be a merger with the country's Specialized Cleaning & Restoration Industry Association (SCRIA).

Under the agreement members will retain their SCRIA memberships on a local level while their benefits will expand to include ISSA membership benefits. They will also have the resource of a local management office within ISSA's Oceania division, based in Botany, Australia.

Finally, in the USA ISSA is to merge with IEHA. Under the terms of the agreement IEHA memberships will have access to global ISSA membership and benefits, including expanded educational opportunities, market exposure, networking opportunities, business tools and data, and other industry information.
