ISS is named FM company of the year in Asia
21st of November 2013ISS in Asia Pacific has been named Facilities Management Company of the Year at the annual Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards in Singapore.
"Over the last decade we have successfully built our regional platform from which we integrate and self-deliver a complete set of facility services such as catering, cleaning, security, property and support services throughout this region and across the globe," said Thomas Hinnerskov, regional ceo for ISS Asia Pacific on accepting the award.
"Our employees are at the core of ISS. Without their deep engagement and all the purpose and pride they put into their daily efforts to service our customers, we would never have achieved this recognition. A personal thanks goes to each and every one of our 203,337 employees in the region," he continued.
In 2012 the Asia region of ISS achieved organic growth of 15 per cent. Operating profit increased by 16 per cent reflecting an operating margin of 7.7 per cent - the highest margin of any ISS region.
Recent wins in the region include a services contract covering 23 airports in India, a significant contract with Changi General Hospital in Singapore comprising mainly cleaning and washroom services as well as the increased scope of the existing contract with Singapore General Hospital. A Barclays Bank contract has gone live throughout the region and in Australia ISS won important
renewals of large contracts within the Resource and Transportation sectors.
