The Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA) presented its industry awards in Dublin recently.

There were over 250 cleaning professionals at the event, where chair Avril McCarthy acknowledged the vital role played in the industry by cleaning site operatives and supervisors.

The independently judged awards recognise service excellence in the industry and celebrate the work being carried out behind the scenes in buildings ranging from retail and hospitality to healthcare and offices - by contract cleaning companies and in-house teams across the country. The judge, Siobhan Prout, did site visits throughout the summer and noted that the standards in all sites was extremely high.

Awards were won by personnel from companies including Noonan, Grosvenor, Derrycourt, Momentum Support, Cagney Contract Cleaning, Ryans Cleaning, Moore Services, SSE and ECO-Group.

The association, established in 2000, creates a forum for the commercial contract cleaning sector to network, innovate and promote the industry at a national level.
