This Thursday, June 15, has been designated International Justice Day for Cleaners and Security Guards 2017. Uni Global Union, which organises the campaign, is encouraging cleaning and security unions to gather on all continents for a day of global solidarity and strength to highlight the fight of cleaners and guards for decent jobs, safe work and respect.

Events are being organised in cities where cleaners are being exploited or treated unfairly, and cleaners are urged to take a photo 'selfie'with a fist in a cleaning glove when visiting workplaces, committee meetings and trade unions' events.

And for the first time this year there is a competition to find the worst cleaning contractor and worst client - those who make cleaners' lives unsafe, underpaid and undignified.
