Glastonbury glampers enjoy luxury toilet tissue worth €130

For the majority of festival-goers at Glastonbury in the UK over the weekend, wet wipes were an essential part of the kit when braving the public toilets. Not for the glampers however (that's shorthand for glamorous campers), who have been staying in the exclusive Camp Kerala on the site and using toilet tissue costing €130.

The tissue by Joseph's Toiletries was described by Gwyneth Paltrow as the "gold standard" of loo roll last year. Joseph says the sheets are 'specially woven, with a vitamin-coated outer layer'. The company adds that the 'soft-fluffed inner core' helps it achieve optimal absorption.

The luxury toilet paper, which is flushable and hypoallergenic, aims to improve toilet hygiene - as well as being more eco-friendly than regular loo roll.

The glampers were paying €10,500 for their five-day stay, each in a bespoke tent complete with plush carpets, crisp bedding, fresh flowers and champagne. Tent service teams were available round the clock to cater to guests' every whim, including a breakfast hamper delivered to the tent each morning. There was also an on-site restaurant.
