Even air dryers now come equipped with Bluetooth and lasers

Bluetooth-enabled air dryers with laser diagnostics are being demonstrated on the Ffuuss stand.
The washroom dryers also incorporate colour-changing lights when in operation to enhance the user experience. And their stylish, slimline casings come in a vast number of colour and style options.

"We believe ourselves to be the first company to come up with a smart hand dryer of this kind," said Ffuuss EU sales manager Victor Guasch.

"The Bluetooth function detects info such as the number of drying cycles that have taken place, the total working time and the number of hours the unit has been plugged in. This information can then be viewed on a smartphone or tablet.

"Meanwhile, the laser system indicates when the water tank is full via a tiny red light projected on to the floor. And this flashes if there is a technical problem."

While the washroom visitor's hands are being dried, integral lights in the dryer scroll through a series of colour changes as an added novelty.

The casing of the Ffuuss dryer is available in any pantone colour and can be customised with logos or images. "It can also be supplied in chrome, vinyl or in a transfer print finish," said Guasch. "Customers can even opt for an 18-carat gold-plated version if required - in fact we recently exhibited two such units in Dubai."

The air dryer is currently installed in high-end hotels, restaurants and airports. The company launched a second model - Handryer 2 - at this week's event which is also Bluetooth-enabled but comes in just six colours and has a diagnostic light in place of the laser system.
