EU director general to speak at CMS congress

Daniel Calleja Crespo - Spanish director general of the European Union - will open the first international CMS conference in Berlin later this month.
The event, which takes alongside the CMS cleaning exhibition on September 25 and 26, has the theme of Sustainable Competitiveness in the Cleaning Sector and will be held at the Marshall Haus at the Berlin exhibition grounds.
Calleja Crespo will examine how competitive the EU's service industry is in his keynote speech. In February 2012 he became head of the enterprise and industry directorate-general of the EU. He is also the special envoy for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His responsibilities include internal markets for goods, competitiveness and innovation.
