Ecolab buys RP Adam

In the UK, Ecolab has acquired RP Adam (Arpal Group), the manufacturer of cleaning and disinfectant products based in the Scottish Borders.
Arpal Group has a strong presence in long-term care and commercial catering sectors in the UK and Ireland, as well as the hospitality sector in the Middle East. Annual sales are around €17 million.
Emplying 48,000 people around the world and with 2016 sales of €11 billion, Ecolab delivers solutions and on-site services to promote safe food, maintain clean environments, optimise water and energy use and improve operational efficiencies for customers in the food, healthcare, energy, hospitality and industrial markets in more than 170 countries.
This deal with RP Adam allows Ecolab to develop its regional and national presence in the long-term care sector in the UK. It will also benefit from Arpal Gulf's expertise in commercial catering in the UAE in particular.
