CMS Purus Award winners announced

The opening day of the recent CMS cleaning exhibition in Berlin saw the presentation of the Purus Awards for product design. Awards were made in four categories.
In Machinery the winner was the VP600 vacuum cleaner from Nilfisk, thanks to its automatic cable winder, light weight and ease with which various elements can be replaced.
The UltraSpeed Pro wet flat mopping system from Vileda Professional was the winner in the Equipment category for its intuitive, user-friendly operation. In Washroom Hygiene the judges awarded the prize to SCA for its Tork Image Design line of dispensers because of its understated and functional styling.
Finally, in Brand Communication the award went to Kärcher for its restorative cleaning of Aachen cathedral. The judges complemented the company on using its core competence - the product itself - in its marketing.
No award was made in the Management Systems and Software category.
