ECJ EUROPEAN Cleaning Journal

The European Union Centre for Facility Management, called bringFM!, has been founded in Brussels. The organisation aims to "support European providers of facilities and facility services, and enforce their competitive strength and growth".

bringFM! will offer members information about development of EU policy in the areas of work and working environment; public procurement and outsourcing; internal market; sustainability and CSR; labour legislation; digital information; and business services. It will also represent FM companies at the EU institutions with the aim of influencing policy.

Chairman Jos Duchamps commented: "In Brussels the European FM sector is not adequately represented. Currently there is no organisation that defends the common interest of the FM sector. To this end bringFM! will raise awareness of the sector, monitor relevant policy developments and voice the position of the sector on new EU initiatives."
