ASPEL opposes increase in Spanish national minimum wage

Spanish contract cleaning association ASPEL has joined the Spanish National Employer's Association (CEOE) in its opposition to the increase in minimum wages the Spanish government has proposed for 2021.

Amidst a slow recovery from the pandemic, ASPEL argues there cannot be any increase while the prices of ongoing public procurement contracts remain unchanged, and employers need to assume the salary increase entirely. Additionally, any non-agreed increases will disrupt the sectoral collective agreements and their salary tables.
