ANIP-Confindustria campaigns against in-sourcing of school cleaning
27th of March 2020Following a ruling by the Italian government adopting a law that encompasses - among other measures - the insourcing of cleaning in schools, cleaning sector organisation ANIP-Confindustria has become more vocal about the negative consequences.
It says insourcing will be damaging for cleaning businesses, employees and standards of cleaning quality. Up to 16,000 people working in Italian schools could lose their jobs, and they already have an open-ended contract. Not only that - up to 5,000 workers could be excluded from the insourcing process because the government is planning to hire only 11,263 people.
At a time when hygiene levels are so crucual, ANIP-Confindustria has increased its campaign at a political and media level to ensure the government takes the necessary measures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
