WEPA Professional, washroom hygiene products specialist headquartered in Germany, has acquired UK hygiene paper provider Star Tissue UK - which now operates as WEPA Professional UK.

Andreas Krengel, CEO business unit professional of the WEPA Group commented on the purchase: "WEPA stands for the production of high quality tissue paper, and the UK market is strategically important for us."

The UK business will remain under the leadership of Khalid Saifullah, who stays on as managing director. He added: "In WEPA Professional we have found a partner that shares our values and stands for high quality products and first-class customer service."

Thanks to this acquisition, WEPA says, customers will benefit from an expansion of the product portfolio and an international production network across 13 locations in Europe.
