Netherlands-based floor pads specialist R & T has acquired fellow pads producer Dolly in Germany, which it says will strengthen its position in the German-speaking markets and reinforce its presence across Europe.

R & T is best known for its E-line pads, while Dolly - with its Glit floor pads brand and distribution of Birchmeier products - has a strong presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

While the two companies will remain separate entities, the integration allows for enhanced collaboration and synergies that will benefit both brands, says R & T. The Dolly warehouse in Germany will continue to operate, while administrative offices will be consolidated at R & T's headquarters.
