Lionsbot wins Amsterdam Innovation Award 2020
6th of November 2020The overall winner of the Amsterdam Innovation Award 2020 is Lionsbot, for the Leobot range of robotic cleaning machines. The awards ceremony was held during Interclean Amsterdam Online, which has been taking place all week.
LeoBot by LionsBot, a family of floor cleaning robots, is capable of performing a range of tasks. This socialised robot is able to build a relationship with human cleaners through continuous interaction with the environment. This means Leobot elevates the cleaner's status and motivation, helping them take pride in their job. The robot brings cleaning out into the public domain in a fun and positive way.Leobot was chosen as winner out of the category winners in four categories:
• Machines: LeoBot by LionsBot
• Equipment, Detergents & Washroom: VacuTronic by Hermes
• E-cleaning: ToolSense IOT & ToolSense NOW by ToolSense
• Related Products/Services: TORK Virtual Reality Clean Hands Training by Essity Tork Virtual Reality Clean Hands Training
Chairman of the jury Michelle Marshall, ECJ editor, explained: "Choosing a winner from such a worthy group of category winners was a truly difficult task for the jury. We decided it should be LionsBot as we all felt this was the technology with the potential to have the greatest impact on the professional cleaning sector in the future."
The Visitor's Choice prize is awarded to the nominee that is voted as the most innovative by Interclean Amsterdam visitors. With 55 percent of the votes, Tork Virtual Reality Clean Hands Training by Essity won that award.
