Leadership changes at BICSc

In the UK, the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) has announced some significant management changes as its CEO Stan Atkins steps back from his role later this month.

Neil Spencer-Cook, currently chief operating officer, will become group managing director.

Atkins has led the Institute for over 15 years and he has overseen many key initiatives including the regular review of CPSS, the assessor's app, the BICSc training centre, the virtual training suite and the official launch of the new BICSc Cleaning and Hygiene Audit app.

"I will pick up the baton from Stan and continue to move forward with BICSc," said Spencer-Cook, "ensuring we remain prominent within the industry and offer our members good value and insightful information.

"We will continue to grow the offering of skills training for cleaning operatives and supervisors, and other soft services-specific courses and workshops."

The BICSc chairman Lorraine Davis will come to the end of her tenure in September. Taking on the chairmanship is Soo Bartholomew of Birkin Group.
