The Italian professional cleaning exhibition ISSA Pulire took place in Milan last month, attracting over 20,000 visitors according to the organisers. Visitors came from 107 countries, including foreign delegations from the USA, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana.

This was the first event to take place in Milan, following the decision to leave the previous venue in Verona. "We were certain that moving to Milan would help the ISSA Pulire show grow, and so it did," said Toni D'Andrea, CEO of ISSA PULIRE Network. "This edition determines the launch of a new course that begins with this edition and aims at fulfilling the project of integration, internationalisation and ever greater growth."

The Product of the Year Award finished with joint winners - the XIBU 2WIPE hybrid wet wipe dispenser by Hagleitner Hygiene and the DRC300Z HEPA Cordless Robot Cleaner from Makita.

Nine teams of university students took part in the first edition of the ISSA Pulire Hackathon, which sought to develop an innovative idea involving digital tools, that could contribute to the ESG goals linked to the work of cleaners. The winning team was the one sponsored by Papernet, they presented a project that combines nature and technology. Second place went to the team sponsored by Vileda Professional.
