The deadline for the entries in this year's European Cleaning & Hygiene has been extended by a week - giving you more time to share your success stories with our judges.

The awards, which are the only pan-European awards for the sector, will now close to nominations from businesses and individuals on May 7th.

Michelle Marshall, editor of European Cleaning Journal and founder of the awards said: "With that extra week to submit your entry, it's time to share all your amazing achievements from the past 12 months. Whether you've launched a fantastic new tech innovation, or you are leading the way in diversity or training, we want to hear all about it.

"The awards are all about celebrating success, so if you have been working on a project or initiative that deserves to be recognised at an industry-wide level, we'd love to hear from you."The awards are open to service providers, manufacturers, and distributors across Europe. The categories include:

• Start-up business of the year
• Best use of smart solutions by service providers
• Investment in training
• Excellence in client/contractor partnerships
• Sustainability - best practice
• Commitment to diversity in the workforce
• Best initiative raising the profile of the cleaning sector
• Technological innovation of the year
• Leader of the year
• Rising star award

This year's awards gala dinner will take place in Lisbon, Portugal on October 3rd. The finalists will be announced in July.
