There are now just weeks to go before the closing date for entries in the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards. Entries are due to close on October 22.

Following the deadline, the judges will start the difficult process of creating a shortlist ahead of the main event in April next year. Finalists will be announced in January 2022.

Michelle Marshall, editor of ECJ which founded the awards said: "With just a few weeks left to submit your entry, it's time to put pen to paper and share your achievements from the past 18 months. The awards are all about celebrating success, so if you have been working on a project or initiative that deserves to be recognised, we'd love to hear from you."

The awards are open to service providers, manufacturers and distributors across Europe. The categories include:

• Start-up Business of the Year

• Best use of smart solutions by service providers

• Investment in training

• Excellence in client/contractor partnerships

• Sustainability - best practice

• Commitment to diversity in the workforce

• Best initiative raising the profile of the cleaning sector

• Technological innovation of the year

• Leader of the year

• Rising star award

Entries close on October 22 and the winners will be revealed at the glittering awards ceremony and gala dinner on April 28 2022 at Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels.
