ECMR reaches recycling milestone
7th of August 2019ECMR (European Cleaning Machines & Materials Recycling) has now recycled 1,000 tonnes of cleaning machines and materials since it was founded in 2013.
Based in the Netherlands, the company is focused on closing the recycling loop in the cleaning industry by collecting machines and materials from manufacturers, distributors and end users. The aim is 100 per cent recycling.
A new partnership has recently been signed with Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP) for the recycling of all cleaning-related materials for its customers. This means those end users are no longer responsible for removing, collecting, retrieving and recycling dispensers and cleaning trolleys, for example, when they need to be replaced.
As soon as KCP delivers new materials to a customer ECMR will ensure the old cleaning materials are recycled in a traceable manner. Customers will then receive a certificate that mentions the materials they have submitted.
